Stella-Adoption pending

newstella5BREED: Australian Shepherd/ Golden Mix
SEX: Female
AGE: 9 weeks
COMMENTS: Hi, my name is Stella.  I love meeting new people who will give me some attention!  My very favorite thing to do is cuddle.  I like to be picked up and kissed and kissed and kissed and you know what….I kiss back!!! I like to run and play as well but then it’s back to my foster Mom for some more kisses and cuddling!  I am EXTREMELY cute and my pictures don’t do me justice.  I will need a family that is very patient because, like all puppies, I have lots to learn before I become the perfect dog that everyone is looking for!
Puppy kisses for everyone!

Saxon

saxon5BREED: Terrier Mix
SEX: Male
AGE: 2 years old
COMMENTS: Hi, my name is Saxon. I was found as a stray and lived at a shelter waiting for someone to find me, but no one ever came. CDR saved me and now I’m living in a great foster home with three other dogs. We have become fast friends, playing with toys, chasing a ball and learning how to fetch a Frisbee! Speaking of fast, I discovered this house has CATS! Boy, are they fast! My foster parents are working with me on not chasing them around the house.
I getting used to being in a crate my when foster family leaves but it does take me about 15 minutes before I settle down. I haven’t had any accidents since I’ve been in my foster home which is pretty great seeing that I have been through A LOT of changes lately!
I do have some manner and know how to sit and give paw. CDR provides free training for the rest of my life to help me become the great pet you are looking for!
Hope to see you soon at the next adoption event…
XOXOXOXO-

SEX: Male
AGE: 2 years old
COMMENTS: Hi, my name is Willie.  I'm came from a high kill shelter in Washington Indiana and boy, am I glad that CDR found me!  I'm not a very big boy, just around 45 pounds.  I get along great with my foster brother and sister, walk well on a leash, am crate trained and am mostly housebroken. ( Still working on that one but getting better all the time. )  I do have a high energy level, so I would be a great running partner, long walker or great friend for another dog with energy to burn!  Since I am up for adoption through CDR, I also come with lifetime training, which can only help me become a better life long companion.
Call or e-mail with questions, or better yet, come and see me at the next adoption event!

SEX: Male
AGE: 2 years old
COMMENTS: Hi, I'm Mason, a 70 pound Mastiff mix.  I was picked up as a stray in Iowa and taken to a shelter where dogs are euthanized if they aren't claimed or rescued.  Nobody came looking for me, but luckily, Chicagoland Dog Rescue decided to bring me here and help me find a home!   I like people and other dogs.  I'm in a foster home now with four big dogs.   My favorite thing is to get lots of attention from people.  I'll even sit in your lap if you let me.  I don't bark much and I don't mind being in my crate.  I've been sleeping all night in my crate and don't make any noise until my foster mom gets up to let me out in the morning.  I'm a pretty laid back guy.  My foster mom keeps telling me I'm so nice and so handsome.  I don't really know what that means, but she hugs and kisses me when she says it and I like that a lot.
Come see me Saturday at our adoption event at Petco in Schaumburg!
XOXOXO-Mason

COMMENTS:  Hi, my name is Spike.  Kinda of a great name , don't ya think?  I am an owner give up as the result of a humane investigation which in plain English means my former home wasn't to good!  My foster Mom says I'm your typical hound, wandering around, sniffing everything in sight. I am housebroken and crate trained AND  I am good with kids! While i get along great with my foster brother and sister, I not a fond of every dog.  A home all to myself sounds great to me!  One of my favorite things to do is to hang with my foster Mom.  Wherever she goes, I go too!  If you're looking for a new friend who will be a great companion, PICK ME, PICK ME, PICK ME!

Comments: Hello friends, I’m Lily! I love my family dearly, but they are no longer able to keep me so they’re helping me find my new forever home.  I’m not able to get much exercise these days, so I’m full of energy and ready to play. I love dogs and ADORE KIDS but cats scare me! I’d be a great fit for a family who has time to take me on walks and play with me. I eat grain free food (I’m not picky, I have an allergy!), I’m spayed and housebroken and come with my crate. Do you have room in your heart for me? If so, please call or email CDR  to meet me!

Theo-adoption pending

theoBREED: Border Collie/Lab
SEX: Male
AGE: 11 weeks
COMMENTS: Hi, I am little Theo.  I am the calmest puppy in the litter.  I am also the quietest.  I only get loud when they will not leave me be when I just want to lay there with a toy and quietly play by myself. They step on my head and jump all over me…I cannot wait until I become an only child or at least away from these goofballs. I would rather lay and watch the others make goofs of themselves then to rough house around and get nipped.  I hate the way they play! Sometimes, I will jump in and play too, but only when I get all crazy like. I like my foster mom is hang out with; she too is quiet and calm…just the way I like it.
If I sound like your kind of puppy let CDR know as I will not last long…way too cute.
XOXOXOX-Theo

Henri profileBREED:  Chihuahua/Dachshund Mix
SEX: Male
AGE: 1 1/2 years old
COMMENTS: Hi, my name is Henri.  I am a Chiweenie (Chihuahua/Dachshund mix) who has a beautiful silver coat with gold markings.  Kinda of ritzy for a boy who was found wandering the streets of Humboldt Park!.  The very kind woman who found me took good care of  me until CDR found a great foster home for me.  I have been to the vet, gotten all my shots and been neutered.
I was evaluated by CDR’s trainer with treats and other dogs.  I did great with treats but did initially bark at the other dogs.  I did listen to the corrections and then wanted to play.  Speaking of playing, I love people and am great with kids. I am currently living in a home with other dogs and a cat and we all get along wonderfully! I don't like being in my crate but my foster Mom is working on it with me.
If you are interested in meetingme, your new best friend, please contact CDR by phone or e-mail!
XOXOXO-

Tia-adoption pending

Tiapuggle100BREED: Puggle
SEX: Female
AGE: 3 years
COMMENTS:

I am Tia and I love everything or at least everything I have seen so far. Children make my tail go really fast because I want to play with them. However, I need to be placed in a home with older children because I need to know boundaries and younger children cannot tell me what those are. This does not mean that I cannot be around little kids. It just means on a daily basis it would not be a good idea because I will learn to take advantage of them and get my way, which goes against my training.  I like doggies too and I have been in daycare with other doggies of all shapes and sizes. I love attention…kind of a hog that way.

tia2puggle101Did you know a large fenced in area is a ton of fun to zoom around in…love that ALOT!!!! However, I do not need one, but it would be nice. I have had some very specific training and you can take a class or two to learn how to continue this at your house. I can sit, lay down, stay, heal and I understand no. This does not mean I always listen though. I slip up every now and then and forget when I get excited. I am very friendly and just love any attention that one gives to me. I love toys too. See I love everything…life is so much fun.
Hugs Tia

Lloyd-I won’t be at adoptions. Please e-mail or call with inquiries!

LOOKING FOR: FOSTER/FUR-EVER HOME

Breed: Rottweiler Mix
Sex: Male
Age: 1-3 years
Comments:  Sponsored by RJW Transport
***No small kids, As only pet***

Hi. My name is Lloyd and I am a recovering nipper. From the time I was just a pup, all the humans I knew didn’t treat me very nicely and the only way I could defend myself was to nip at them. I meant them no harm, but I didn’t want them to hurt me anymore, either.

Then the CDR (Chicagoland Dog Rescue) folks took me in.  They figured out super fast that I am really smart, full of energy, a great student and a hard worker.  They placed me with a trainer who specializes in cases like mine, and he brags about what great progress I’ve made.

According to him, I am a Rottweiler mix, about 2-3 years old and I weigh about 55 pounds. My ideal home would be with someone who has experience with a high-energy dog who’s still working on getting his trust and confidence back to where they should be.

It would be great if I could be the only dog in the house, ‘cause that way my master and I could work really hard together to make CDR and my trainer even more proud of me!
