Chicagoland Dog Rescue Featured Dogs

Any Breed. Any Size. Any Age. Any Reason.

BREED:  Terrier Mix
AGE: 6 months
SEX:  Male
BIO: Hi, my name is Kolby and I am one cutie pie from way down south in Alabama!  When you first meet me, you might think, “WOW!  That puppy has a lot of energy!”  and that would be true!  I get so excited when I meet new people that I just can’t contain myself!  I can be a very energetic but a fenced yard  to run in and a good walk helps me settle down. (A fenced yard is not a must but someone who wants to walk me is!)  Then I am ready for some chill times and belly rubs, as you can see by some of my pictures.  I love people of all sizes but because of my energy level, I’m probably not the best puppy for small children.  I do love other dogs, too but can be a rough player so if I’m going to be a canine’s companion, that dog needs to be ready for my puppy shenanigans! I recently started going to doggie day and I LOVE IT!  Like all puppies, I will need lots of love, lots of patience and lots of training to be the best I can be and CDR includes training classes at the Medinah Park District in it’s adoptions fee.  If you would like to meet me, come to the Saturday adoption event or call or email and my foster Mom will get back to you as soon as possible!

Start The Adoption Process Today

Begin by filling out an adoption application and we start pairing you with your perfect pooch!

Chicagoland Dog Rescue Dogs

Our trained volunteers will determine which home among all applicants is the best fit for the dog, and the dog will be brought back to complete the adoption paperwork.  Our adoption fee is $250 for adult dogs aged 7 months and up and $300 for puppies.  The fee covers the cost of all medical care including all legally required inoculations, a fecal test and deworming (if required), spaying or neutering, and a microchip. Lifetime training is also included.

All our dogs have all legally required preventative inoculations, are microchipped and are spayed or neutered to control the repetitive birth cycle that produces more unwanted dogs. Most have been rescued from kill shelters in the Midwest, so their exact breed and age is often unknown. All dogs have been medically or emotionally rehabilitated as needed and are temperament tested to assess their fit with other dogs, cats and children.

Chicagoland Dog Rescue reserves the right to restrict adoption of a dog to potential adopters who live within a fifty (50) mile radius of Schaumburg, IL

Weekly socialization and basic obedience training is offered to all adopters FREE OF CHARGE for the lifetime of the dog, something no other group offers!  Training is crucial for happy dogs and ensures that our adopted dogs remain in their happy households forever.  A minimum of 4 training sessions is required for all adopted dogs.

Details on our training program can be found here.
