Anchorage-adopted

BREED: Great Pyrenees Mix
AGE: 18 weeks
SEX: Male
BIO: Hi, my name is Anchorage and while I am still a pretty young pup, I already weigh 35 pounds!  Being a big boy I will need a lots of structure and patience. I am very smart, so I’m learning quickly, but I’ll also try to get away with things if you let me!  I’m currently working on my puppy manners (I like to surf counters, tables, etc). I’m also working on my potty training, I tinkle a bit when I meet new people but I’m working really hard on going outside. Remember this is a team effort!!!
My foster mom says I’m really sweet and I’m not a finger nibbler, but I do have a lot of energy. My perfect family would be experienced in my breed and have at least a six foot fenced in yard.  We’re not sure how I am with children yet.
Are you my furever family?? Come meet me at Petco on Saturday or fill out a pre application and my foster Mom will get back to just as quick as quick can be!!
Hugs and kisses Anchorage
P.S. I really love belly rubs!!!

Start The Adoption Process Today

Begin by filling out an adoption application and we start pairing you with your perfect pooch!

Chicagoland Dog Rescue Dogs

Our trained volunteers will determine which home among all applicants is the best fit for the dog, and the dog will be brought back to complete the adoption paperwork.  Our adoption fee is $300 for adult dogs aged 7 months and up and $375 for puppies.  The fee covers the cost of all medical care including all legally required inoculations, a fecal test and deworming (if required), spaying or neutering, and a microchip. Lifetime training is also included.

All our dogs have all legally required preventative inoculations, are microchipped and are spayed or neutered to control the repetitive birth cycle that produces more unwanted dogs. Most have been rescued from kill shelters in the Midwest, so their exact breed and age is often unknown. All dogs have been medically or emotionally rehabilitated as needed and are temperament tested to assess their fit with other dogs, cats and children.

Chicagoland Dog Rescue reserves the right to restrict adoption of a dog to potential adopters who live within a fifty (50) mile radius of Schaumburg, IL

Weekly socialization and basic obedience training is offered to all adopters FREE OF CHARGE for the lifetime of the dog, something no other group offers!  Training is crucial for happy dogs and ensures that our adopted dogs remain in their happy households forever.  A minimum of 4 training sessions is required for all adopted dogs.

Details on our training program can be found here.
