Dudley-adopted

BREED:  English Setter
AGE:  14 weeks
SEX:  Male
BIO: Hi, my name is Dudley!  What makes me different from my brothers and sisters?  Well, I have lots of spots and dots, which of course makes me adorable, but I also have big brown eyes that will melt your heart.  And I do love to be held, especially on a lap!   In fact, you can see me smiling in one of my pictures!
Like the rest of my siblings, I have a setter’s coat which mean lots of brushing will be needed to keep my handsome good looks goings!  Like all puppies, I have LOTS of energy and will need a way to burn it off.  What do I love to do?  Be outside where I can spend lots of time chasing all the interesting things in my yard-birds, bees, leaves…really anything that catches my attention, so a fenced yard is a MUST for me! And kids!  I love them, too!  I am currently in a foster home with a 5 and 7 year old and we have a great time playing!  But I am in the teething part of my puppyhood and can’t really tell a chew toy from say a book or a backpack or a shoe, so I will need a watchful eye to keep me out of trouble.  I am working hard at potty training and am happy to sleep peacefully in my crate at night! Like all puppies, I am looking for a family  that will have lots of love and patience and give me lots of training so I can be the very best me I can be! I am being adopted out as a family companion only, so NO hunting dog for me!  If you are interested in meeting me, please send an email or fill out a preadoption application and a CDR volunteer will get back to you just as quick as they can!

Begin by filling out an adoption application and we start pairing you with your perfect pooch!

Chicagoland Dog Rescue Dogs

Our trained volunteers will determine which home among all applicants is the best fit for the dog, and the dog will be brought back to complete the adoption paperwork.  Our adoption fee is $300 for adult dogs aged 7 months and up and $375 for puppies.  The fee covers the cost of all medical care including all legally required inoculations, a fecal test and deworming (if required), spaying or neutering, and a microchip. Lifetime training is also included.

All our dogs have all legally required preventative inoculations, are microchipped and are spayed or neutered to control the repetitive birth cycle that produces more unwanted dogs. Most have been rescued from kill shelters in the Midwest, so their exact breed and age is often unknown. All dogs have been medically or emotionally rehabilitated as needed and are temperament tested to assess their fit with other dogs, cats and children.

Chicagoland Dog Rescue reserves the right to restrict adoption of a dog to potential adopters who live within a fifty (50) mile radius of Schaumburg, IL

Weekly socialization and basic obedience training is offered to all adopters FREE OF CHARGE for the lifetime of the dog, something no other group offers!  Training is crucial for happy dogs and ensures that our adopted dogs remain in their happy households forever.  A minimum of 4 training sessions is required for all adopted dogs.

Details on our training program can be found here.
