BREED: Lab Mix (possibly Lab/Great Pyrenees or Lab/Newfie Mix?)
AGE: 14 weeks
BIO: Hello! My, name is Kya and I am a fun loving doggo! I am a GORGEOUS girl that looks like a big fluffy black cotton ball and I happen to have the softest hair, perfect for petting! I love to play and get along great with my foster fur sisters! I’d be great with kids and other animals although I’ve never met a cat before but, hey, I’m a likable gal! Did you know that I’m 70% potty trained too?! Yup, only a couple accidents because I know what the word potty means! While I am working on loving my new crate, I’m also fine while out of it. I love jumping and playing and all kinds of toys!! Rarely bark or cause a muss at all. Just an awesome, fluffy girl looking for my furever peeps! Like all puppies, I will need lots of patience cause I will make mistakes, lots of love because I have lots to give back and time for training because I want to be the very best new member of the house that I can be! If you are interested in meeting me, please fill out a pre adoption application or send an email and a CDR volunteer will get back to you just as quick as they can!
Cuddles and kisses-Kya

Chicagoland Dog Rescue Dogs
Our trained volunteers will determine which home among all applicants is the best fit for the dog, and the dog will be brought back to complete the adoption paperwork. Our adoption fee is $400 for dogs over 1 year and $450 for puppies up to a year. The fee covers the cost of all medical care including all legally required inoculations, a fecal test and deworming (if required), spaying or neutering, and a microchip. Lifetime training is also included.
All our dogs have all legally required preventative inoculations, are microchipped and are spayed or neutered to control the repetitive birth cycle that produces more unwanted dogs. Most have been rescued from kill shelters in the Midwest, so their exact breed and age is often unknown. All dogs have been medically or emotionally rehabilitated as needed and are temperament tested to assess their fit with other dogs, cats and children.
Chicagoland Dog Rescue reserves the right to restrict adoption of a dog to potential adopters who live within a fifty (50) mile radius of Schaumburg, IL
Weekly socialization and basic obedience training is offered to all adopters FREE OF CHARGE for the lifetime of the dog, something no other group offers! Training is crucial for happy dogs and ensures that our adopted dogs remain in their happy households forever. A minimum of 4 training sessions is required for all adopted dogs.
Details on our training program can be found here.
