BIO: Hi,my name is Max and I am 5 lbs of cuteness or at least that’s what my foster family tells me! I came up from Alabama with my travel buddy Willow and a bunch of other dogs and I was surprised when she came with me to my foster home! We have lots of fun playing with the dogs that were already there and they have these things called cats which I find curious. But I mostly play tug with Willow and I let her win every once in a while. Sometimes I let go and she falls back! What is one of my favorite things? Well, I just love to run in the backyard with the other dogs. Sometimes I hide under a chair and pounce them when they come by.
I sleep in my crate thru the night and when my foster family needs to go somewhere they call work. I also learned about these things called stairs. At first, I wasn’t sure about them but Willow showed me how to use and now I am a pro at it! Every morning we are let out of our crates and we all run down the hall to the door but I am still last since I have the shortest legs. I am working very hard at potty training and I am doing pretty well so far I only had 2 accidents this week!
Like all puppies, I will need lots of love, patience and training to be the very best ME! If you are interested in meeting me, please send an email or fill out a pre adoption application and a CDR volunteer will get back to you just as quick as they can!

Chicagoland Dog Rescue Dogs
Our trained volunteers will determine which home among all applicants is the best fit for the dog, and the dog will be brought back to complete the adoption paperwork. Our adoption fee is $300 for adult dogs aged 7 months and up and $375 for puppies. The fee covers the cost of all medical care including all legally required inoculations, a fecal test and deworming (if required), spaying or neutering, and a microchip. Lifetime training is also included.
All our dogs have all legally required preventative inoculations, are microchipped and are spayed or neutered to control the repetitive birth cycle that produces more unwanted dogs. Most have been rescued from kill shelters in the Midwest, so their exact breed and age is often unknown. All dogs have been medically or emotionally rehabilitated as needed and are temperament tested to assess their fit with other dogs, cats and children.
Chicagoland Dog Rescue reserves the right to restrict adoption of a dog to potential adopters who live within a fifty (50) mile radius of Schaumburg, IL
Weekly socialization and basic obedience training is offered to all adopters FREE OF CHARGE for the lifetime of the dog, something no other group offers! Training is crucial for happy dogs and ensures that our adopted dogs remain in their happy households forever. A minimum of 4 training sessions is required for all adopted dogs.
Details on our training program can be found here.
