BIO: Hi, my name is Mina and in German means it “love,” and that is definitely what you’ll get if you adopt me.! I’m full of puppy kisses and smiles, and sometimes I wag my tail so hard my whole body wiggles! Like many great love stories, mine has started off a little rocky. Not long ago, I was found in pretty bad shape all alone on the side of a road in Alabama. I was nursed back to health by some nice people and brought up here to find my furever home.
I have been smitten with every human I’ve met, including the human puppies (I think you call them kids?) I’m infatuated with my foster fur brother, and I want to be just like him when I grow up! Because of this, my foster mom thinks I’d do well in a house with another dog to look up to and learn from. I love to play, but I’m not hyper like most puppies.
I look much bigger in pictures, but I’m actually a smaller girl. My foster mom says photos are just picking up on my much bigger personality. She says I can be a little stubborn at times, but that I’m a very relaxed puppy and a quick learner. I already know “sit” and “down” and I never ever go potty in my crate. Most of the time I’m pretty good about going potty outside, but I do still have the occasional accident in the house (this is all new to me, so I’m still learning).
My foster mom and foster fur brother can both attest to the fact that I’m an incredible cuddler, and they think it is cute the way I snore sometimes!
I just know I’m meant to share all this love I have with some lucky person or family, and I can’t wait to meet them! Help me find my happily ever after! Like all puppies, I am looking for lots of love, a good dose of patience and time to work on training with me so I can be the very best ME! Begin by filling out an adoption application and we start pairing you with your perfect pooch!
Chicagoland Dog Rescue Dogs
Our trained volunteers will determine which home among all applicants is the best fit for the dog, and the dog will be brought back to complete the adoption paperwork. Our adoption fee is $400-450 for puppies 7 months and up and dogs. The fee covers the cost of all medical care including all legally required inoculations, a fecal test and deworming (if required), spaying or neutering, and a microchip. Lifetime training is also included.

All our dogs have all legally required preventative inoculations, are microchipped and are spayed or neutered to control the repetitive birth cycle that produces more unwanted dogs. Most have been rescued from kill shelters in the Midwest, so their exact breed and age is often unknown. All dogs have been medically or emotionally rehabilitated as needed and are temperament tested to assess their fit with other dogs, cats and children.

Weekly socialization and basic obedience training is offered to all adopters FREE OF CHARGE for the lifetime of the dog, something no other group offers! Training is crucial for happy dogs and ensures that our adopted dogs remain in their happy households forever. A minimum of 4 training sessions is required for all adopted dogs.
