Tasha-adoption pending

BREED:  Pit Mix
AGE:  19 weeks
SEX:   Female
BIO: Hey there, my name is Tasha and I am the perfect sized puppy for you! I am a bundle of energy, happiness, laziness and downright silliness all in one medium-sized package. I love to eat, play, nap and play yet again! I am learning to be a puppy and taking things one step at a time. I have been doing well with going potty outside, but I am still in training: I will get it in no time!(: My leash training has been going great: I don’t bite or pull on the leash like before. I normally don’t wake up during the middle of the night, I like to sleep too after all my playtime! I like to play with the other dog and cat in my foster home, we have a lot of fun together playing and cuddling. My foster mom has lots of the neighbor kids come play with me and I love it! We run all around the yard together and go on long walks. Car rides are awesome rides because that means that I will be going to the park, Petsmart or Petco and meet new people and see other doggies and children. I love all kinds of toys, bully sticks and sticks in general. I even like to chew on leaves and flowers. I love to explore new things, but I sometimes get a little scared. It’s okay though—my foster mommy is helping me overcome these hurdles. Like all puppies, I am learning how to become a dog and will need consistency, love, patience and lots of cuddles and praises. Like all puppies, I am seeking a family or person that will be patient with me, give me lots and lots of their time, even more love and just as much training! I promise that with love, patience, time and training, I will end up becoming the best puppy ever! My foster mommy says that I will do best with another dog, or even a dog-friendly cat to continue teaching me the ins and outs of being a great addition to my forever family. If you would like to meet me, please send an email or fill out a pre-adoption application. A CDR volunteer will get back to you as quickly as they can!

Chicagoland Dog Rescue Dogs

Our trained volunteers will determine which home among all applicants is the best fit for the dog, and the dog will be brought back to complete the adoption paperwork.  Our adoption fee is $300 for adult dogs aged 7 months and up and $375 for puppies.  The fee covers the cost of all medical care including all legally required inoculations, a fecal test and deworming (if required), spaying or neutering, and a microchip. Lifetime training is also included.

All our dogs have all legally required preventative inoculations, are microchipped and are spayed or neutered to control the repetitive birth cycle that produces more unwanted dogs. Most have been rescued from kill shelters in the Midwest, so their exact breed and age is often unknown. All dogs have been medically or emotionally rehabilitated as needed and are temperament tested to assess their fit with other dogs, cats and children.

Chicagoland Dog Rescue reserves the right to restrict adoption of a dog to potential adopters who live within a fifty (50) mile radius of Schaumburg, IL

Weekly socialization and basic obedience training is offered to all adopters FREE OF CHARGE for the lifetime of the dog, something no other group offers!  Training is crucial for happy dogs and ensures that our adopted dogs remain in their happy households forever.  A minimum of 4 training sessions is required for all adopted dogs.

Details on our training program can be found here.
