BREED: Pit Mix
AGE: 13 weeks
BIO: Hello there! My name is Teagon. I may be the smallest out of all my brothers and sisters, but I have a HUGE personality. I am an adorable ball of sassiness who loves to try to get endless lovins from my foster momma’s resident cat and my 2 sisters. I love to be going on walks to the park and chewing on bully sticks wherever I am at as well as have endless play time with my sisters Tessa and Tasha. I’m learning how to play with children as well, but can be just a little bit mouthy—a small correction will settle me down. I LOVE exploring new things, and even though it sometimes seems scary to me, I keep trying to overcome them! I do not mind car rides: I actually LOVE them. I will relax and even nap in the car if it’s a long ride. Nap times aren’t just for kindergartners: I will take a nap everywhere and anywhere! My foster mom says that I am very smart and that I am learning quickly on to how to be a puppy. I have been making HUGE improvements in the crate; I only get up once or twice in the night or not at all! I am learning how to go potty outside, but it is still a work in progress! I’m learning sit and how to walk nicely on a leash. I do not pull as much as in the beginning and my foster mommy says that that is a great thing! I do like to be the boss lady and do get a little mouthy with my siblings, but I get corrected or put in time out. I would love to have a brother or a sister that can be okay with that and/or can help me not be so mouthy. I love to lick a peanut buttered filled Kong, love to chew on my toys, try to play with my foster momma’s cat and play, play, play! Just like my sisters, Tessa and Tasha, I am learning how to become a puppy and will need consistency, love, patience and lots of cuddles and praises. Like all puppies, I am seeking a family or person that will be patient with me, give me lots and lots of their time, even more love and just as much training! I promise that with love, patience, time and training, I will end up becoming the goodest little girl ever! My foster mommy says that I will do best with another dog, or even a dog-friendly cat to continue teaching me the ins and outs of being a great addition to my forever family. If you would like to meet me, please send an email or fill out a pre-adoption application. A CDR volunteer will get back to you as quickly as they can!

Chicagoland Dog Rescue Dogs
Our trained volunteers will determine which home among all applicants is the best fit for the dog, and the dog will be brought back to complete the adoption paperwork. Our adoption fee is $300 for adult dogs aged 7 months and up and $375 for puppies. The fee covers the cost of all medical care including all legally required inoculations, a fecal test and deworming (if required), spaying or neutering, and a microchip. Lifetime training is also included.
All our dogs have all legally required preventative inoculations, are microchipped and are spayed or neutered to control the repetitive birth cycle that produces more unwanted dogs. Most have been rescued from kill shelters in the Midwest, so their exact breed and age is often unknown. All dogs have been medically or emotionally rehabilitated as needed and are temperament tested to assess their fit with other dogs, cats and children.
Chicagoland Dog Rescue reserves the right to restrict adoption of a dog to potential adopters who live within a fifty (50) mile radius of Schaumburg, IL
Weekly socialization and basic obedience training is offered to all adopters FREE OF CHARGE for the lifetime of the dog, something no other group offers! Training is crucial for happy dogs and ensures that our adopted dogs remain in their happy households forever. A minimum of 4 training sessions is required for all adopted dogs.
Details on our training program can be found here.
