Tiger

BREED: American Bulldog/Pit mix
AGE: 10 years old
SEX: Male
BIO:  Hi there, my name is Tiger! I’m about 10 years young, but don’t let my age fool you I still have lots of pep in my step!! I really enjoy chasing around my tennis balls, the occasional stuffy and rolling around in the grass. OH! And let’s not forget how awesome I am in the car! Just give me an open window and I am set! But, my ultimate favorite thing in the whole world is snuggling up with my foster fam.
My foster mom says I am the bestest snuggler she has ever met. I mean, not to brag or anything, but I know I am. She also says I am the most loveable gentleman and my tail never stops wagging! I really love meeting new people and getting all the pets. I enjoy spending time with my foster fur brother but I don’t really like to play with him too much, so I am really glad he understands that. I do really like spending time with him though so I wouldn’t mind having a furry dog brother or sister as long as they respect my boundaries. The furry siblings I don’t want to have are those cats, so no thank you please! I always sit patiently when my foster momma is feeding me or before she takes me out. I am such a good boy that my foster momma doesn’t crate me when she has to go to that work place! I can be strong on leash but am be easily redirected. So, what do ya say, can I come stay with you for the rest of my life? If you would like to meet me, please fill out a pre adoption application or send an email and my foster Mom will get back to you just as quick as she can!
XOXOXO-Tiger

More About This Rescue

Chicagoland Dog Rescue (CDR) is an all volunteer, shelter-less rescue who’s common goal is to rescue dogs that suffer at the hands of cruel or ignorant owners, owner give-aways, or those that are homeless. With very limited resources we vaccinate, socialize, and place dogs of all breeds, ages and sizes into homes as quickly as possible.

Chicagoland Dog Rescue Dogs

Our trained volunteers will determine which home among all applicants is the best fit for the dog, and the dog will be brought back to complete the adoption paperwork.  Our adoption fee is $300 for adult dogs aged 7 months and up and $375 for puppies.  The fee covers the cost of all medical care including all legally required inoculations, a fecal test and deworming (if required), spaying or neutering, and a microchip. Lifetime training is also included.

All our dogs have all legally required preventative inoculations, are microchipped and are spayed or neutered to control the repetitive birth cycle that produces more unwanted dogs. Most have been rescued from kill shelters in the Midwest, so their exact breed and age is often unknown. All dogs have been medically or emotionally rehabilitated as needed and are temperament tested to assess their fit with other dogs, cats and children.

Weekly socialization and basic obedience training is offered to all adopters FREE OF CHARGE for the lifetime of the dog, something no other group offers!  Training is crucial for happy dogs and ensures that our adopted dogs remain in their happy households forever.  A minimum of 4 training sessions is required for all adopted dogs.

Details on our training program can be found here.
